Mix it Up WEDNESDAY: Bountiful+ Ex Libris Bookmarks by Celia

I love the cozy vibes of the new Bountiful collection and the magical library feels of the Ex Libris Galacticus collection is such a perfect pairing for it! I printed and cut out the ellies from the Ex Libris collection along with stickers and two patterned 4x6's from the Bountiful collection.

After adhering the two 4x6s together, cutting them in half lengthwise and cutting their top corners to make them tag shaped, I sewed around both of them to add some texture. I always sew over my starting line and then glue the overlapping area to make sure the thread does not come undone.

I wanted to make the glasses from the Ex Libris collection match the Bountiful patterns a little bit better so I colored over them using a moss green alcohol marker. I also glued acetate behind them to mimic lenses.

Next I made a couple of clusters on the bottom of my bookmarks, making sure each one had a book, wood veneer, leaf and rainbow. At last, I added little bundles of thread behind them to add to the texture and a comfy feel.
