Create Your Own Custom Traveler's Notebook with Becky!
I love to make Traveller’s Notebooks to record a holiday or special event. As I have a lot of outings in September I decided to make a ‘September’ notebook using Amber Glow. Firstly I chose 4 patterned papers from the TN pack and printed 2 per A4 page, close together but with a very small gap between the two which will show where I need to fold the pages. I used copy paper for these inner pages.
I trimmed the pages and then printed the pattern I want for the cover. This I printed onto a heavier matte photo paper to give the notebook some strength. Once this was printed I cut the excess white cardstock/paper off each page and stacked the pages and folded them.
I put the pages in the order I liked them and then stitched down the middle to make the notebook. I hand stitched this book but you can machine stitch or even just add a couple of staples with a long arm stapler.
At this stage you could stick the pages back to back if you don’t want plain white paper every other page. I sometimes like this to be able to do easy journalling or to add a different paper. With this book I stuck some pages together and left some white ones for journalling.
I printed out a selection of embellishments from the sticker pack and also used one of the Bonus Stickers for the title of my album along with a frame from the digital pack.
Now it is just a case of filling it with photos, embellishments and journalling as the month progresses. I have done the first page and made a foundation page with a 3x4 card and some stickers. I am looking forward to completing this book over September!
