Scraplift Saturday - Hybrid Team Member Ali!

Hey Hey! It’s scraplift Saturday =and today the team is lifting none other than the fabulous Ali Skifton! Ali has amazing style and there was no shortage of lift inspiration in her gallery to choose from! Danica, Theresa, Kaye and Becky all created gorgeous layouts lifting Ali that I know you’ll be inspired by!

Becky - All Is Calm

I just love a scraplift and was so excited to choose a layout from Ali. This one jumped out at me as it immediately made me think of wrapping paper and we had just wrapped some presents!

The curled papers really add so much lovely texture to the layout and it was fun to create these with papers from All is Calm. However as they are obviously not double sided (just like wrapping paper!) I used some glitter glue on the rolls to add some interest. I also added some glitter glue down the right side of the page and love how it gave it some lift.

Ali doesn’t have journalling on her layout but I love to add journalling so used 2 of the cards to create a journalling spot in the bottom right where Ali had an embellishment cluster. Apart from that it really is a reasonably straight lift and I had fun doing it!

Theresa - Keep Chasing Rainbows

Ali Skifton is such an inspiring scrapbooker to me, and as I was looking over her layouts to select one to scraplift, I realized we have three things in common:

1) We both serve on two design teams together!

2) We both love cut files and using fun patterned papers.

3) We both love Chicago.

I love scraplifting other designers because it helps me get to know their process, and their personalities better. This adorable layout for Saint Patty’s Day inspired me because it was clover leaf inside of clover leaf with clover leaf popped up on top. I love using shapes like that!

For my layout I decided to use a heart shape along with the Keep Chasing Rainbows collection. Recently I have been preparing some pages for my 2023 documenting, and this seemed like a perfect opportunity to write a little letter to 2023 asking it to be kind to us. I kept the layout fairly close to Ali’s, with the heart shape center and a bit more to the top, the background patterned paper showing underneath the hearts and all the way around the border, and also a few popped up on top. I took a little creative liberty and used that awesome Color Outside The Lines banner going across the page, as a nod to staying creative in the New Year and a reminder to be our bold selves. I also added just a few of the gorgeous digital paint elements in the kit to a blank canvas and printed those onto vellum as an overlay. This will be my opening page in my 2023 album! Thank you Ali for this wonderful inspiration!

Kaye - All Is Calm

Hey Hey Friends! Today we are scraplifting Ali Skifton if you have not checked out her amazing IG then definitely check that out as soon as you are done here! I LOVE scraplifting especially when I am in a pinch for time or in a creative funk! It is the perfect way to scrap without having to think too much about the design as someone has already done that for you! I chose this spread as I LOVE GRIDS and it allows my simple style to shine! All of the 3s in this spread is also another easy on the eye design aspect to follow as our eye’s love things in three’s so 3 pictures, 3 boxes, and 3 embellishment clusters work so well! Thank you so much for popping by and I hope you find some inspiration or find a layout you would like to scraplift!

Danica - Sunkissed

Ali had so many great layouts, it was hard to pick just one! I finally decided on this one because it was going to let me showcase all the awesome patterned papers Traci has in her Sunkissed collection! I am never in any of my photos since I am always the one behind the camera. But every once in a while hubby snaps a photo of me. This was the perfect photo for this collection, me enjoying a shave ice. I duplicated the shaker Ali had on her layout by shrinking down the floral shapes Traci had in the kit. I used one of the slide frames for the actual shaker and added a second shadow to it to create some extra depth. This layout came together rather quickly and I love how it turned out
