Ways to Work it Wednesday: Labels and Tags!

Do you ever end up with a ton of leftover tags and labels and aren't quite sure what to do with them? Today on the blog, Sara, Larissa, and Leontine are showing off some ideas for using those tags and labels in fun ways to help you use those embellishments in a new way!

Larissa - Pocket Tags

Tags are the most useful element you can find, in my opinion. There are so many uses for them, from being used to label something to make a mini album with a bunch of it!

I wanted to create something that could be used in many ways, so I came up with a tag pocket. You can see mine host some memorabilia, from tickets to tags (I love to collect them wherever I go and I keep a box full of this kind of ephemera). The idea is that you can tie a ribbon or just pop inside your ring album with no effort!

I used Traci’s new collection, Filled With Intention, which I think brings a lot of this idea of keeping memories intentionally.

Sara - DIY Border

Sara used labels from the Hearth & Hollow collection to create a decorative border down the middle of the page. She puzzle pieced the labels and then added her title, date, and decorative elements to the labels. The simplicity of the labels allowed her to use a busier patterned background without having it overwhelm the photo.

Leontine - Embellishment Clusters

Who doesn’t like label and tags? Well, I do. It’s fun to use them on scrapbook pages, in travelers notebooks or in journals, because they give just that little extra to your page. I like to treat them as tiny scrapbook pages without making them too difficult. Already a few diecuts can make the difference.

I used the Keep Chasing Rainbows stickers for my project. I love the bold primary colours. They make me happy! I also used a Sizzix die (662698) as a base for the tickets. You can tear them if you like that.

The finished clusters can be used as a layer on your photo or anywhere else on your page.

I always start with a base, in this case the ticket or the tag. Then a shape like a hexagon or a little label. I love flowers so I use them a lot. And I finish it off with a textstrip and/or a few enamel dots. As I said before, it doesn’t take much.

Enjoy!
