Crafty Corner with Allie - Photo-less Monthly Divider Pages

This year, I’m doing a little bit of combining my planner and my scrapbook into what I like to call a “Scrappy Yearbook.” I tried to plan a little bit ahead and create my dividers for the year-- simple themed papers with some labels on them for each month.

But you know what? I got bored with them by February!

So today, I decided to mix things up a little bit and do mini “no photo” scrapbook pages for my dividers for April, May, and June.  And of course, I used Traci Reed Designs collections!

To keep things even more interesting, I used 3 different collections for each of the 3 divider pages -- for April, I used Wildflower, for May, I used the classic Keep Chasing Rainbows, and for June, I used Sunkissed. I tried to match up each of the collections to the “feeling” of each month.  For example, springy denim in  April, Rainbows and fun in May, Summer starting in June!

To keep things consistent, even with the different collections, I used the same font (Nevis Pro Bold) and the same “text treatment” on each of the monthly words-- I used a a clipping mask to “cut out” the word from the top paper, so another paper can peek through! I especially love how this turned out for the April divider, because through the denim, it looks like a “patch”!  I tried to follow that theme with the stitching on the hearts as well.

I’ll be sliding these pages into standard letter page protectors, and putting them as “dividers” for each month in my Planner/Scrapbook hybrid.
